The North Carolina Green Party (NCGP) has had five affiliated regional chapters throughout the state in the past. Since regaining ballot access in 2022, we're looking to revitalize those chapters in our major metropolitan cities, as well as form new chapters or campus groups where there is sufficient interest.
NCGP's Local Growth Chair would be happy to hear from anyone who used to be involved with one of the five metro chapters or hear from anyone wishing to join them. Get in touch at [email protected].
THE ENGINES OF OUR MOVEMENT
The NCGP is building political power independent of the capitalist parties. In keeping with the Green Party values of Grassroots Democracy and Decentralization, our chapters are important as key hubs for party organizing and activity. Local members (meeting informally or as affiliated chapters) come together to:
- identify both concerning local issues and opportunities for Green Party involvement,
- organize their own local events and actions or collaborate with partner organizations in the area,
- help educate others about the Green Party's values and the solutions it offers,
- rally support for local/state candidate campaigns, and
- offer comradeship and solidarity with others who share our ecosocialist principles.
Please visit the Facebook group of each organization to start getting involved with a chapter in your area.
