Join NCGP members at the Cameron Village Regional Library room 202 in Raleigh for a presentation on the history of effective political parties of the left in the US. Victories for labor and social justice that we all take for granted today were not won by congressional, judicial or executive action, but by organizations that created unity, developed community, and funded themselves via the lowest levels of membership—the individual. Against the amassed power of the corporate state, our only weapon is the ability to organize outside of the two major political parties. For the Left, this means that the Democratic Party must be replaced with new electoral possibilities that do not owe allegiance to the capitalist power structures that demand loyalty from elected officials. Join us for a discussion about making this change come about.
