Cuisine Durham has many good restaurants. Closest to NCCU is the Know Bookstore and
Deli, at 2520 Fayetteville St. <img src ="Know front.jpg" > More
information about The Know Bookstore can be found at Restaurant.com. Downtown Durham along Main Street features several
restaurants. The Federal Lounge is popular, features reasonably priced food and a good beer
selection. On Ninth Street, near the Duke East Campus,
International Delights a Mediterranean restaurant, the Cosmic Cantina (burritos), and Elmo's
Diner (family style, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, beer and wine available) are
a few of the good eating places in this area. A block over on Broad Street, Watts
Grocery serves lunch and dinner, using locally grown food (2 hour
radius) as much as possible.
The North Carolina Green Party hopes that you enjoy your time in Durham. Members
of the Triangle Greens, the local chaper of the NCGP, will be available after
hours for anyone who wants a guide or just plain company.
